I've never felt the eyes
of the many distant souls
until you said what you did.
Brought to life in your throat,
shaped smoothly with your tongue,
carried forth between your lips,
Those gentle eyes found purchase
and I discovered myself speechless;
impossibly basking, I was silenced.
I couldn't say a thing
for my heart wasn't used
to such a feeling.
I hope that it never is.

So... I've woken up, it seems. What did it? It's mostly a mystery to me, even, however I think it is a combination of things. I'll try not to ponder it too much. Why wonder at an opened door when you can step through it?
